Too Long; Didn't Read

Tom Walker mentions Paul Lafargue The Right to be Lazy. I started reading this book months ago and did not get much further than the description of the horrors of nineteenth century working conditions. Is not finishing in the spirit of the piece?

I can hardly be bothered to comment Robert. ;)

LaFargue's argument about why socialists should oppose state takeover of natural monopolies is of greater historical interest.

Ian, thanks for the joke.

Will, can you suggest a pamphlet where LaFargue puts forth this argument?

Here you go, Robert: http://marxists.org/archive/lafargue/1882/06/socnat.htm

I'll just put in my two cents and say that Lafargue got unfairly written out of the history of Marxian thought, due to the controversial nature of his death.
