Hello Robert, I am not so certain about the catholic ideology as an alternative. The catholic leaders have a dark and miserable reputation with respect to women's rights. It will not be easy to reform this policy, because the catholic ideology is paternalistic.
Links in my "Elsewhere" posts are to presentations I find of interest. I do not mean to fully endorse any such link. If you want to be part of a powerful political coalition, you will need to accept members that disagree with you on some topics. In the United States, many who are confined to a popular understanding of what is going on, would be surprised at the existence of Christians opposed to unfettered markets from a somewhat left perspective.
